NBR, a synthetic elastomer, is integrated into Brake Pads Formula primarily for its exceptional resistance to heat, oil, and mechanical wear—three core challenges in automotive braking systems. Technically, our selected NBR grade boasts a Shore A hardness of 75-85, a range that balances flexibility for vibration dampening and rigidity for consistent force transmission. In real-world braking, this translates to a heat resistance threshold of -40°C to 120°C (peak tolerance up to 150°C for short durations), ensuring the rubber does not degrade or harden under repeated high-temperature friction.

Its advantages extend beyond temperature resilience. NBR exhibits excellent oil and grease resistance (with less than 10% volume swell after 72 hours of immersion in standard automotive brake fluid), preventing softening or cracking that could compromise pad structure.
